19 September 2026Day x Night Vibes @ 18 Districts: Kick-off Ceremony of the 10th Sha Tin Festival cum "Connect Sha Tin: A Fantasy Gala of Light and Wonder over Shing Mun River"A signature quadrennial event held in the Sha Tin district, the festival not only aims to showcase the district's development and distinctive character, but also encourages residents to actively participate in community activities, thereby strengthening their sense of belonging and fostering a spirit of mutual help and support within the community.

"Connect Sha Tin" is the theme of the 10th Sha Tin Festival in 2026-27. Prior to the commencement of the event, a youth-led bazaar, offering hometown cultural products and handicrafts created by young artisans, will be held at Sha Tin Park. The kick-off ceremony will be staged along the riverbanks of the Shing Mun River in the evening. By showcasing the vitality and prosperity of Sha Tin, the light and music gala serves to encourage members of the public to celebrate the National Day with their family and friends, while promoting a sense of happiness within the community.

On the night of the event, the fire dragon, carried by dance performers, will parade all the way from Aberdeen to Wah Fu Estate.
