Compared to other new towns, Tuen Mun has a greater sense of countryside atmosphere. The beaches along Tuen Mun are tranquil, beautiful with occasional sightings of Chinese white dolphins. On the other hand, shopping and recreational facilities are comprehensive here. With versatile transportation, Tuen Mun is a great attraction for tourist.
Hong Kong Gold Coast can be reached by taking bus Travel Route No. 53 at MTR Tsuen Wan Station bus terminus or 52M at MTR Kwai Fong Station bus terminus. Or you can take the 52X at Yen Chow Street in Sham Shui Po.
The Five Beaches
The five beaches of Castle Peak Beach, Kadoorie Beach, New Cafeteria Beach, Old Cafeteria Beach & Golden Beach are located in the eastern part of Tuen Mun. The Montmartre street market opens on the weekend at Gold Coast attracts quite a large number of visitors. A new attractive landmark for the area, the statue of a big Chinese white dolphin, is being built near the heliport of the Gold Coast, and will be open to public by the end of 2005.

Ching Chung Koon Temple
Ching Chung Koon Temple is a complex of Taoist temples, gardens and shrines. It is a peaceful experience strolling along the garden and the shrines, it is indeed a place worth visiting. Vegetarian meals are served.

It is the first public golf driving range in Hong Kong. It is a two-storey structure with plenty of facilities including 91 bays, a teaching room, a shop and a restaurant. Various kinds of activities are organized each month for the public.

Sam Sing Temple and Sam Sing Hui
Sam Sing Temple is a Buddhist, Confucius and Taoist temple in one, "Sam Sing" refers to the three sacred figures of Buddha, Confucian and Lao Zi. Opposite to the Temple and across the Castle Peak Road is the Sam Sing Hui market, featuring fresh seafood, customers may choose their favourite seafood and order them prepared in the ways they prefer or they may bring the seafood home.

Butterfly Beach Park, Lung Kwu Tan and Tai Lam
There are many public barbecue pits in Tuen Mun including one next to Butterfly Beach, one at Lung Kwu Tan and one at Tai Nam Chung Village. Scenery at the barbeque sites is marvellous.
